As the architects behind Grove House, we at cube_design are excited to share that we were honoured to be invited to the reopening ceremony of this remarkable building, now converted into a Sixth Form facility! Originally designed by the esteemed Alfred Waterhouse, Grove House is not only a stunning example of Victorian architecture but also a space that inspires the next generation of thinkers and leaders.

To commemorate this significant occasion, an extraordinary symphony was held, conducted by a renowned American maestro, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity that this facility aims to nurture. This celebration of music and education beautifully reflects the harmonious spirit that Grove House embodies—a space where creativity and learning intersect.

During the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, who officially opened the building, congratulated us all on a magnificent achievement, highlighting the importance of ‘providing students with an exceptional space in which to thrive.’

Our vision for Grove House was to create an environment that fosters academic excellence while honouring its rich heritage. The newly renovated spaces provide state-of-the-art facilities, blending modern educational needs with the timeless elegance of Waterhouse’s design.

Grove House has evolved to meet the challenges of today’s educational landscape while remaining true to its historical roots. At cube_design, we are proud to have played a part in this journey and look forward to creating more inspiring spaces that enrich the lives of future generations.
